Oscar celebrated his first birthday last week. His actual birthday was the 28th, but his party was the weekend before. There are a lot of pictures, since both sets of grandparents couldn't make the party. Garrett's parents were in NY and my parents were here for about 3 hours when they got a call that a storm left their basement full of water. Anyway, here is our little man's big day....
We set up the back yard with the pool and ball pit bus for the kids.
Dinner came out well, but the cake was a challenge. After bubbling over the pan, the oven door broke apart and we used bungee cords to hold it together. Yeah, that wasn't stressful. But, look at the cover up you can do with frosting...
He looks serious, but he almost finished that cake.

We went to Rainforest Cafe as some sort of birthday tradition we started. (too bad the food isn't too tasty)
